Our Reviews
Take a look at what our guests say...
I’d love to share with you some of the wonderful reviews our guests have said about their stays at Tyddyn Sydney Bach. It makes me so happy to read each review and see how much our little cottage has been a part of so many special memories.
Many of our guest reviews mention how Tyddyn Sydney Bach is a cosy and relaxing haven, perfect for a peaceful holiday for two. William and I always aim to keep the cottage spotlessly clean and well-equipped, so it feels like a home away from home. And, of course, the lovely garden adds to the charm!
Our location here near Bangor, just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Menai Strait, is something many of our guests appreciate. Guest reviews reveal that our guests love being close to the mountains, the sea, and all the historical sites that North Wales and Anglesey have to offer. It's always a pleasure to suggest places to visit and dine – there's so much to explore around here!
What truly warms my heart is when guests come back to visit us again. Some even call Tyddyn Sydney Bach their 'happy place', which is the most wonderful compliment. It feels like welcoming old friends each time they return.
Our reviews shown below are a treasure trove of kind words and memories. From couples celebrating anniversaries to those simply seeking a tranquil getaway, each message is a reminder of the special moments shared here.
I hope this gives you a little glimpse into the experiences that await at Tyddyn Sydney Bach. William and I would be delighted to welcome you and help create lasting memories for you too.
Best wishes,
Les

“Outstandingly well equipped and administered bungalow”
Outstandingly well equipped and administered bungalow cottage a short distance from Bangor but also close enough to the Menai bridge for visits to Anglesey. We were not able to take full advantage of the immediate area for walks and suchlike but that is also available. Will definitely consider return visit when in the area. August 2012
“Excellent all around”
Stayed for 10 days ay Tyddyn Sydney Bach.
Can't speak more highly of the property and Les who looks after you.
The cottage is immaculate and of a high quality for a commercially let property. The building is secluded with your own privacy. The position really is A1 for North Wales and Anglesey too and on the edge of Bangor by a major road junction so its good for both touring and staying put and chilling out.
Les is great as a hostess and seems to know when you want to be left alone or talk. She seems not to be the hard nosed businesswoman type necessary to run a larger establishment with multiple lettings but is perfect for the personal attention on a 1 to 1 basis here and seems genuinely keen that everything is perfect for you without being intrusive.
There is a Morrison's, Waitrose and a large Tesco within 2 miles and two chain pub restaurants a Table Table place attached to the Premier inn and The Antelope pub overlooking the Menai Bridge within a mile.
Les left more than enough material in the cottage for everything wothwhile within range of Bangor and I would recommend one lof her local walks down to the Britannia Bridge and along the coast through a nature reserve to the Antelope Pub and across the Menia Bridge to the town of Menai
I needed the WiFi connection for my work (self employed and all that) and it was clear she was fretting over this. No need to worry the WiFi connection was much better quality than most hotels.
I also left my laptop bag behind and Les soon had it in the post back to me at home.
All in all, if you are a couple and North Wales/Anglesy is suited to you Tyddyn Sydney Bach is an excellent base to choose. May 2012
“Immaculate cottage, ideally located to visit Northern Wales and Anglesey”
We spent a splendid week during the Easter break in that charming cottage which is close to everything in Northern Wales et Anglesey - Snowdonia national parc, Holyhead, Caernarfon, Beaumaris, Llandudno, Conwy... The landscape is stunning, with snowy montains, green fields, blue sea...
The cottage itself is extremely well equipped, very clean and comfortable. The place is quiet, with a lovely garden. The owners could not be friendlier, and although they live very close to the cottage, they respect your privacy so we really felt at home.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple considering a trip to the area and would find it hard to believe that there is anywhere better nearby. We will certainly return in the near future. April 2012

Explore Tyddyn Sydney Bach This Winter 2023/24
In the cold days of Winter 2023/34, we thought about how we would like to explore North Wales. Tyddyn Sydney Bach seemed to offer everything we were looking for. On our arrival we were enchanted by the location. Les greeted us warmly providing a delicious Welsh tea and goodies. The cottage had everything we needed even to the point of Les switching on the central heating in the cooler evenings to give us cosy nights in. Beautifully located, charming hosts, comfortable accommodation, what more could we want for a restful and enjoyable holiday.
