The cottage is tastefully decorated and situated quite close to the owners home. Set in a lovely garden with a pretty pond.
There was nothing we could want for everything you need is provided. There were extra touches such as barabryth and a bottle of wine on the table with a welcome pack of tea and milk ect. A lovely welcome when youve been in the car for a few hours. We travelled from Oldham.
The cottage is situated very close to Anglesey and the Britannia bridge is within walking distance.
We had a lovely break here. In the evening we sat outside witha glass of wine and enjoyed our own company. Although you are quite close to the owners, they respect your privacy and unless we sought them out we didnt really see them. November 2011
Stayed for a week in July 2011, using the cottage as a base to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding areas. The booking process was painless, the cottage easy to find, and the welcome warm.
If there are two of you, it’s the perfect size and well equipped. There is a very comfortable bed, armchairs and a nice dining area in the spotless kitchen. The bathroom was also spotless.
The owners live a short walk away up the garden but never make you feel crowded out, the cottage could easily be in the middle of nowhere. That said, if you need any help, the owners were always obliging and very knowledgeable.
There are great road links to all of the local attractions. We had a lot of fun touring around the mountains in the car and visiting castles and National Trust places. There are some nice places to eat nearby but if you want to make use of the well equipped kitchen, there’s an enormous Tesco a short drive away for self catering supplies.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple considering a trip to the area and would find it hard to believe that there is anywhere better nearby. July 2011
We were greeted on arrival by the owner who was friendly and showed us around the cottage without being too intrusive. The bara brith and fresh flowers were also a lovely touch to welcome us.
The cottage itself was beautiful and clean as well as having everything we could possibly need.
I am from North Wales originally so already had a plan as to what to do for the weekend but there was plenty of information of the highlights for those that needed it. The cottage is in a brilliant location to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey & we would definitely stay again. Thank you very much! November 2011
My girlfriend and I chose this property in order to get away for a week. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner who kindly gave us a tour of the house and an overview of how everything worked. She could not have been friendlier and was always available to answer any queries we had.
The cottage itself was absolutely immaculate in every possible way. Warm, cosy, with beautiful high ceilings, and fitted out with everything we could ever need. The pictures really do not do this property justice. It was simply perfect.
Bangor itself is easily accessible by car or by a (very) regular bus service. The surrounding countryside is stunning and holds a plethora of various sights and attractions, a vast selection of which were advertised in the handy welcome folder in the cottage.
I cannot recommend this property enough, and would certainly hope to return in the near future. October 2011

Our first visit to Tyddyn Sydney Bach, a spacious spotlessly clean cottage, well equipped, dishwasher, washing machine etc. Nice quality bed linen and towels, not too fussy. We enjoyed a warm welcome from owners Les and William who gave us lots of info on the best places to visit in this lovely area of North Wales and Anglesey. Particularly enjoyed the large secluded garden. We are returning home feeling rested and relaxed. The flowering magnolia is magical. Yes, we would recommend to friends and yes, we would come back. Thank you Les and William. Helen and Malcolm, March 2022 – A very warm and sunny week up to 20C?
This was our fourth or fifth time here (and we’ll be back again in June) and, as usual, everything worked like clockwork, and again, as always we have had a wonderful times here. This was, however, our first time with the new bedroom extension, which makes an already extremely comfortable cottage even more so, the bedroom allows space in the lounge for two comfortable sofas and the cottage gains space and light with this improvement. A good decision! Nothing more to add, except that after travelling to the UK for many summers we have had problems of all kinds, in all places, and at all price ranges. We come back here as often as we can because we know that it will all be trouble-free and comfortable. Thanks Les and William. Mike and Elisabet, March 2022
A beautiful cottage in a fantastic location with all the mod cons you could hope for. A real home from home. Sadly our stay has been cut short due to a mini drama at home. Brenda and Robin, February 2022
Having both been wiped out by Covid last month, this was just what we needed to regroup. We’ve had a restful week in this lovely, well-appointed cottage. Portmeirion enchanted, as ever, the Llanberis Pass astounded, and many locations on Anglesey offered rainy strolls. Can recommend Ann’s Pantry at Moelfre and Bonia deli in Caernarfon. Thanks for the Valentine’s treats too, Les Jane and Graham February, 2022
One of the best staycations we have had. The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. Les has been a fantastic host and always willing to go out of her way to help us. We will definitely be back in the summer! Thanks Les. Fakhra and Noraiz, December 2021
