Stayed for a week in July 2011, using the cottage as a base to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding areas. The booking process was painless, the cottage easy to find, and the welcome warm.
If there are two of you, it’s the perfect size and well equipped. There is a very comfortable bed, armchairs and a nice dining area in the spotless kitchen. The bathroom was also spotless.
The owners live a short walk away up the garden but never make you feel crowded out, the cottage could easily be in the middle of nowhere. That said, if you need any help, the owners were always obliging and very knowledgeable.
There are great road links to all of the local attractions. We had a lot of fun touring around the mountains in the car and visiting castles and National Trust places. There are some nice places to eat nearby but if you want to make use of the well equipped kitchen, there’s an enormous Tesco a short drive away for self catering supplies.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple considering a trip to the area and would find it hard to believe that there is anywhere better nearby. July 2011
