Tafarn Y Garddfon Inn Review

Y Garddfon has spectacular views over the Menai Strait to Ynys Mon (Anglesey).  It is a traditional Welsh pub which is used and enjoyed by the locals – especially popular on quiz nights

Y Ga2 Tyddyn Sydney Bach, Bangorrddfon is one of our favourite restaurants.  It is  cosy in the dining room during the Winter, but has amazing views outside in t3 Tyddyn Sydney Bach, Bangorhe Summer, with breathtaking sunsets.

The food is really good as well. It is not a quick place to eat but somewhere to savour dinner for the evening. Service is not fast because the food is freshly cooked, but well worth the wait!   There is always a Specials Board, as well as the menu.  My favourite is the Chef’s Old Smokie – Smoked fish in a white wine, cheese and herb sauce for starters with the Topside of Welsh Beef for my main course, whilst William enjoys the Soup or  local Scallops in season with the Spicy Thai Style Chicken Stir Fry.  There is a separate desserts menu – but I regret that I am usually too full!  But have on occasions  been tempted…
