Stayed for a week in July 2011, using the cottage as a base to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding areas. The booking process was painless, the cottage easy to find, and the welcome warm. If there are two of you, it’s the perfect size and well equipped. There is a very comfortable bed, armchairs and a nice dining area in the spotless kitchen. The bathroom was also spotless. The owners live a short walk away up the garden but never make you feel crowded out, the cottage could easily be in the middle of nowhere. That said, if you need any help, the owners were always obliging and very knowledgeable. There are great road links to all of the local attractions. We had a lot of fun touring around the mountains in the car and visiting castles and National Trust places. There are some nice places to eat nearby but if you want to make use of the well equipped kitchen, there’s an enormous Tesco a short drive away for self catering supplies. We would definitely recommend this cottage to any couple considering a trip to the area and would find it hard to believe that there is anywhere better nearby. July 2011
We were greeted on arrival by the owner who was friendly and showed us around the cottage without being too intrusive. The bara brith and fresh flowers were also a lovely touch to welcome us. The cottage itself was beautiful and clean as well as having everything we could possibly need. I am from North Wales originally so already had a plan as to what to do for the weekend but there was plenty of information of the highlights for those that needed it. The cottage is in a brilliant location to explore Snowdonia and Anglesey & we would definitely stay again. Thank you very much! November 2011
My girlfriend and I chose this property in order to get away for a week. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner who kindly gave us a tour of the house and an overview of how everything worked. She could not have been friendlier and was always available to answer any queries we had. The cottage itself was absolutely immaculate in every possible way. Warm, cosy, with beautiful high ceilings, and fitted out with everything we could ever need. The pictures really do not do this property justice. It was simply perfect. Bangor itself is easily accessible by car or by a (very) regular bus service. The surrounding countryside is stunning and holds a plethora of various sights and attractions, a vast selection of which were advertised in the handy welcome folder in the cottage. I cannot recommend this property enough, and would certainly hope to return in the near future. October 2011
Hassle-free, comfortable and very spacious with high ceilings. Equipped with everything we needed for self-catering and evening entertainment. Set in a characterful planted garden, with a pair of small fields behind, and a bench for every day of the week. The visitor’s book tells several years of happy holiday-makers who got away from it all by coming here. We escaped from London for 1 week and used it as a base to explore near and far. We found enormous sandy beaches with clean water on Anglesey, Llynn Peninsula and the West coast of Wales. We found swimming was possible but the water temperature was, shall we say, exhilarating! The owner is on-site (in the large house) and eager to assist with every question and request. The exterior mixes sea-side colours with rustic charm, while the interior is up-to-date with furnishings and electronics. We used the Virtual Tour from the owner’s website to confirm no hidden surprises before booking this charming cottage. https://www.tyddynsydney.co.uk/ Bangor is nearby with modern pedestrianised zones and a variety of nightlife – plenty of Karaoke! Tesco is the nearest supermarket for getting provisions, with various others just a little further afield. Caernarfon is a picturesque castle city and easy to reach to the West. We found some delightful restaurants huddled along quaint alleyways there. Portmeirion always provides a whimsical and picturesque day out if you follow the longer walks and enjoy the more tucked-away areas. 16 July 2011
We stayed in this luxurious cottage for one week. It’s a perfect position to explore North Wales. The cottage is situated in a beautiful garden. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with cake and flowers. We accidentally left an evelope with euros. The owners took much trouble to pay back the money. They also took time to tell us about the surroundings. They are really nice. Thanks!

We have thoroughly enjoyed a few days in your most comfortable and charming cottage – which had everything that we required and more! Thank you so much for the Welsh cakes and the toppings and also thank you for the beautiful roses which were just perfect. We shall look forward to returning to see more of this lovely corner of Wales. Wendy and Neil, September 2019
