Relaxing and ideally located for exploring North Wales by car

Hassle-free, comfortable and very spacious with high ceilings. Equipped with everything we needed for self-catering and evening entertainment. Set in a characterful planted garden, with a pair of small fields behind, and a bench for every day of the week.

The visitor’s book tells several years of happy holiday-makers who got away from it all by coming here.

We escaped from London for 1 week and used it as a base to explore near and far. We found enormous sandy beaches with clean water on Anglesey, Llynn Peninsula and the West coast of Wales. We found swimming was possible but the water temperature was, shall we say, exhilarating!

The owner is on-site (in the large house) and eager to assist with every question and request. The exterior mixes sea-side colours with rustic charm, while the interior is up-to-date with furnishings and electronics.

We used the Virtual Tour from the owner’s website to confirm no hidden surprises before booking this charming cottage. https://www.tyddynsydney.co.uk/

Bangor is nearby with modern pedestrianised zones and a variety of nightlife – plenty of Karaoke! Tesco is the nearest supermarket for getting provisions, with various others just a little further afield.

Caernarfon is a picturesque castle city and easy to reach to the West. We found some delightful restaurants huddled along quaint alleyways there. Portmeirion always provides a whimsical and picturesque day out if you follow the longer walks and enjoy the more tucked-away areas. 16 July 2011
