Directions to Tyddyn Sydney Bach
Tyddyn Sydney Bach is situated just outside the City of Bangor in the secluded grounds of a large cottage in the village of Treborth, between the internationally famous Britannia and Menai Bridges crossing to Anglesey, close to junction 9 of the A55.
Access to Tyddyn Sydney Bach is down an unmade drive off Ffordd Bronwydd, which, in turn, is off the A487 Treborth Road close to Junction 9 of the A55.
There is a regular bus service on the A487 giving access to the centre of Bangor, Menai Bridge, Caernarfon and Llanfair PG. The buses also serve Bangor Station providing regular national rail connections. Manchester and Liverpool John Lennon are the closest International Airports both with car hire facilities and good rail links to Bangor.
From the A55 North Wales Coast Road Exit at Junction 9
At the roundabout take the first left exit, carry straight on for 100 yards. At the next roundabout carry straight on (onto Treborth Road) 10 yards after roundabout take left turn onto Ffordd Bronwydd. Follow houses on left-hand side. Between where the houses end on the left-hand side and a grass field turn onto the small unmade lane on the left. Proceed to the end of the lane where there is a wooden gate and the yellow buildings of Tyddyn Sydney can be seen.
Along the A5 Holyhead Road from Bangor
Proceed along Holyhead Road towards Menai Bridge past Bangor Station and Morrisons supermarket. At the main roundabout take first exit up a hill (Treborth Road). Continue along Treborth Road, go past Golf Centre on right and Treborth Garden Centre on left. (Approx 1-1.5 miles). Just before the bollards (10 yards before roundabout) turn right onto Ffordd Bronwydd. Follow houses on left-hand side. Between where the houses end on the left-hand side and a grass field turn onto the small unmade lane on the left. Continue to the end of the lane where there is a wooden gate and the yellow buildings of Tyddyn Sydney and Tyddyn Sydney Bach can be seen.
From the A55 Anglesey Exit at Junction 9
At the roundabout take the first left exit onto Treborth Road, 10 yards after roundabout take left turn onto Ffordd Bronwydd. Follow houses on left-hand side. Between where the houses end on the left-hand side and a grass field turn left onto the small unmade lane.
